Snow fun!!

We went to stay at Jamie and Adam's cabin at bear lake for a little get away. It snowed the whole time!

 
Our friend Cindi said we needed to run outside barefoot as long as we could stand it. Shane and Brian took the challenge a little to seriously. They went clear out to the road and ran all around.

As you can see the snow was really deep! Clear up to their thighs! They were out there forever!

Is my husband handsome or what? Scruffy face and all! Here he is screaming as he came back in the house! We had such a great time with a bunch of our friends. Not even a lull in the conversation. It was a much needed break!

Driver's license!

 Natalie is official. She has her real drivers license. Not just a permit anymore! Now I just need to get up the nerve to let her be a driver! She has so many things going on in her life right now. So many big milestones! It is so fun to watch this beautiful girl grow up. She is such a blessing in our lives. And the best first child we could have ever had!!

Asked and Answered!

Natalie asked Dallin two sweethearts. She put this on the front step of his house and sprinkled tootsie rolls all around. It says "Hey tootsie wanna roll to sweethearts with me?" Unwrap the candy to see which tootsie wants to roll with you!"

We hid Natalie's name in one of the wrappers.

Dallin answered by having Natalie's seminary teacher (who is Dallin's cousin) call her out of class and gave her this.

It is fun to be back into the scene of creative asking and answering!  People are so creative!

Natalie's sweet 16 party!!

Natalie wanted to have a pretty simple and fun party. She wanted to have snacks and a hot chocolate bar.

Natalie only invited her closest friends and the kids that she knew would want to play games!

I took a few random pictures of the cute kids while they played games. Other than that I just made lots of hot chocolate and tried to fade into the background.

They had a lot of fun and played pictionary, reverse charades, catch phrase,

and they also had a break to play piano and ukulele! Natalie has some amazing friends. I'm glad she has them. I think overall she had a great celebration of turning 16!

New Year's Eve

 We spent the night as a family to ring in the New Year!

We played games,

Watched movies, ate lots of food,

Watched the ball drop, and had lots of fun.

Streamers, sparkling cider and all!

Natalie's first date!

Natalie had her first date two days after her 16th birthday!! She went out with her great friend Dallin. They had been planning to go on their first date together since they were about 14. They had decided to go to iceberg and whatever Hunger games movie was out. And they did just that! They went to iceberg and then to see Catching Fire.

They took a jar full of little papers to iceberg and wrote down a lot of future date ideas. They thought of things to do together and with groups. They had a really fun time.

Christmas at Oma's!

Every year after we open presents at our house we head up to Ogden.

We spend time with Maria and Brandon and his family.

We open lots of presents.

And we always have a great dinner.

This year the kids all got new towels fro summer fun!
