Hallie is 12!

On Aug. 30th cute Hallie finally turned 12! A week in to 7th grade. Yea, pretty much the youngest kid in the school.

The sky was even her favorite color that night!

 Presents!

She's not excited or anything.

No way!?! An ipod touch? Now I can text people all day long? I am a happy girl!

Hallie is one fun and funny girl. She always has something funny/sarcastic to say. She is so tall. I am glad she isn't still in 6th grade she would be the biggest one there! Hallie is sticking with her love of pink and brown. She loves to watch tv. She is starting to find some fun friends and to have an important social life. We are so excited to see what changes this year brings!

First Day of School-part 2

Does it seem like our whole year's worth of activities for 2012 happened in August? Yea, it does to me too! We were some busy folks! Here is Hallie getting ready for 7th grade! The whole outfit!

 Up close cutie!

And the next day Natalie started 9th grade! It is not right that this is her last year of middle school!

 Here is the whole outfit!

And a shot of the girls together as they head into the big bad world of school! Such pretty girls if I do say so myself!

Life Flight Ride!

A new Intermountain Health Care clinic opened in Herriman. IHC wanted to show a success story to go along with the grand opening. Jace was chosen because he had flown in life flight 3 years before with a fabulous outcome! He was so excited. Whenever he sees the helicopters in the air he says he knows he was in one but doesn't remember.  This day changed all that! Here he is with his new hat and lanyard so he could be an official life flight crew member.

We started off at the Murray hospital to learn about the helicopter and to take some pictures. The IHC people were so great to work with and went out of their way to make us have a great experience.

 My babies!

He is so excited to get his picture taken and to ride in the helicopter.

 Just another pose!

Checking out the inside of the helicopter.

 He just looks so cute!

Here he is with the pilot in the background.

 Inside the helicopter.

Oma and cousin Camden came to check it out.

Jace decided that Dad would be the one to fly with him in the helicopter. They would start in Murray land at the Herriman clinic. The rest of us would left earlier and drove there so we could see them land.

The whole family. One really cool thing that IHC did for us was give us a big framed picture of our family in the helicopter. It was very thoughtful.

Here they are getting out of the helicopter in Herriman after their memorable ride.

There were a lot of people lined up for the grand opening and to see the helicopter land. One family was the Lombardi's. Koy Lombardi was our home teacher when Jace fell out the window 3 years earlier.

Here is Jace getting interviewed by KSL. He was on the news that night and said that the helicopter was like a mini hospital. It was a cute segment. He did a great job with his answers without being coached in any way.

Side story: like many little kids Jace can't say his R's very well. When he heard himself on the news he said "why did they make me sound British?" It was the first time he could hear that his R's weren't right and he thought the news people did it! He wasn't very happy about it even after I explained.

Shane got to talk about his experience too!

Here are our sweet supporters! Maria and the aunties-Ann, Jean, Jane and Laurie, came to watch the landing! It is so wonderful to have them be a part of our fun experiences.
We had such a great time being apart of this grand opening. It was so great for them to think of Jace and to give him a chance to have a helicopter ride to remember.

And last of all, a picture with Dr Mike. Mike Peterson has been our doctor since Abbie was born and is our great friend. This whole thing was extra special because it was the opening of his new clinic. We loved being able to be a part of his big day.
It was also a day where we again reflected on how blessed we truly are to still have Jace with us. Not only with us but healthy and perfect.

1st day of School-2012

Abbie getting ready to start the 3rd grade! Looking darling in her skirt and all tan!

Jace started first grade a couple days later. That is why I don't have a picture of them together.

Happy kids that are so excited for school. I love that they love it so much.

One more Party!

On our way home from the trip we stopped at Shane's mom's for a little more love. She made him a money cake and yummy dessert. Not bad to have your 40th birthday celebration last for a couple weeks!

He deserves it though. Shane works so hard all the time and he deserves a little recognition. I love his laugh and how contagious it is. I love that we have so much fun together. I love that when he has free time he wants to spend it with me and the kids. I love that he always tries to beat me at games-but only succeeds about half the time. I love that he always has a project in mind even though  he hardly has time for any of them. I love that even though he is at work all the time he is willing to serve in church with the little time he has. I love that he is a great example to our kids. I love that he loves my siblings like they are his own. I love that he cares so much about his mom and her well being. I love that he tries to make his time with our kids memorable. I love that he will watch so many shows with me late into the night. I love that he is always thinking of our future and how to make it great. I love that he is such a great provider for our family even after several times of struggle. He always makes the best of it and moves on to better things. I love that he is a good cook. I hate that he can't do it more often. He makes better pancakes, scrambled eggs, spaghetti, and chocolate chip cookies than anyone. Really. I love that he works hard to stay in shape and be healthy. I love that he is still so good looking at 40. Not just for 40. :) I think you can tell that I just love him.

Happy Birthday Shane! I love you even though you are an old man!

40 years!!!!!

Not to make this about me, but I guess it is my blog/journal! August 18th, 1972 was a great day for me! Why? On that very day my parents were married and my husband was born! I must have been smiling in heaven or something! Happy 40th to the most influential people in my life!

My mom said she knew Shane was meant to be in our family when she found out when he was born! My parents are so loving and generous and I am grateful they are mine!

Shane tried to be very brave, but it was killing him to be 40! He sure looks good even when he cries! :) I am so glad we were able to have a lot of family fun leading up to his special day. He is such a great husband, dad, and best friend. He deserves the best. I love you Shane.

All the adults out to Stockman's for steak. We had a great dinner and a great time. Thanks to Natalie and Hallie for watching the kids!

What a great day and a great reason to get together and celebrate! Let's do it again in 10 years. But on a cruise next time!

On a Moose Hunt!

As per tradition, my mom had a hunt up her sleeve! This year the kids went on a Moose hunt.
All the grand kids had a moose to find.

Nat had to reach!

Abbie with a cuddle!

Hallie's was up high too!

Jace took a while to find his behind the logs!

Toponce kids after their successful hunt!

All the Jaussi grandkids except Cameron who was getting fed, and with the addition of Nate who found a Moose for soon to be born Bowen! Thanks mom and dad for always having an adventure ready!

Jaussi Family Nature Hike

Here is the whole gang that came to the cabin. My parents, some of my dad's siblings, and all of their kids and grandkids. My mom made us some shirts and gift bags!

We all decorated a visor before we left. Maelee catching up to Shane, Dana, Gma, and Jack.

We all got a new water bottle in our bag. Nat with her cute visor.

The inseparable Abbie and Eliza. Looking darling as always.

A muskrat in the water at big springs.

Everyone checking out the fish and the muskrats at Big Springs.

On the way back from the hike we saw a moose and her baby. The baby hid pretty quick, but we got to watch the mom for a little bit.

I am so glad Jace got here in time for a picture before the moose ran to the woods.
