Life Flight Ride!

  A new Intermountain Health Care clinic opened in Herriman. IHC wanted to show a success story to go along with the grand opening. Jace was chosen because he had flown in life flight 3 years before with a fabulous outcome! He was so excited. Whenever he sees the helicopters in the air he says he knows he was in one but doesn't remember.  This day changed all that! Here he is with his new hat and lanyard so he could be an official life flight crew member.

 We started off at the Murray hospital to learn about the helicopter and to take some pictures. The IHC people were so great to work with and went out of their way to make us have a great experience.

 Jace decided that Dad would be the one to fly with him in the helicopter. They would start in Murray land at the Herriman clinic. The rest of us would left earlier and drove there so we could see them land.

 The whole family. One really cool thing that IHC did for us was give us a big framed picture of our family in the helicopter. It was very thoughtful.

 There were a lot of people lined up for the grand opening and to see the helicopter land. One family was the Lombardi's. Koy Lombardi was our home teacher when Jace fell out the window 3 years earlier.

 Here is Jace getting interviewed by KSL. He was on the news that night and said that the helicopter was like a mini hospital. It was a cute segment. He did a great job with his answers without being coached in any way.

 Side story: like many little kids Jace can't say his R's very well. When he heard himself on the news he said "why did they make me sound British?" It was the first time he could hear that his R's weren't right and he thought the news people did it! He wasn't very happy about it even after I explained.

Here are our sweet supporters! Maria and the aunties-Ann, Jean, Jane and Laurie, came to watch the landing! It is so wonderful to have them be a part of our fun experiences. 

We had such a great time being apart of this grand opening. It was so great for them to think of Jace and to give him a chance to have a helicopter ride to remember.

And last of all, a picture with Dr Mike. Mike Peterson has been our doctor since Abbie was born and is our great friend. This whole thing was extra special because it was the opening of his new clinic. We loved being able to be a part of his big day.
It was also a day where we again reflected on how blessed we truly are to still have Jace with us. Not only with us but healthy and perfect.
