Provo River Falls

We took a day trip to Provo River falls. It was a long drive but well worth it!!

We had so much fun looking at the waterfall

Having fun family time

and playing in the water.

My kids were pretty good sports about me taking lots of pictures!

Jace was a little less enthused than the others.

We were there for a long time.

The water was freezing but the kids didn't care!

Jace had a change of heart in the end and wanted me to take his picture.

We also had a fun picnic with the my parents, Dana, Russell and the aunties! It was a super fun day!

The obstacle course!

Jace and Jack spent most their day at the obstacle course.

Trying all the parts over and over again. (doesn't Jack look like an oompa loompa?)

My cousin Greg made the obstacle course. He was also extremely patient and kind to time Jace and Jack all day!

Curtis watched the obstacle course fun all day and just had to try it!

We were all amazed at his desire to get out and do something so physical. It was only a month and a half since his amputation. He just jumped right in and tried it all.

The whole family stopped their activities when they saw what was happening.

We all knew if he continued to approach his recovery with this attitude he would be unstoppable.

Curtis has been so strong, he has faced this with such a good mental attitude and has inspired everyone who knows him.

We are so glad to know that with how healthy he was before the accident he will recover quicker. It will be a long road for him and his family. I just hope he can stay so strong. I think he will.

He pretty much wore himself out for the rest of the day, but he did the whole course and he did it well!

Here is our lovely selfie while we manned the bubble gum booth! I sure love my brother!

Anniversary Party !

We had a great celebration this summer! My grandparents had their 65th Wedding anniversary! Jace and Jack got to follow Kyle around. He is such a great kid and Jace has always looked up to him.

Family came from all over. Almost everyone was there. My mom had the idea to have a family carnival. It turned out great. There was fun for everyone!

There was hair coloring, penny toss, m&m spitting, horseshoes, fish pond,

face painting, bubble gumblowing contest, water games,

tattoos, volleyball, snow cones, a petting zoo and an obstacle course. I know I missed more things, but obviously there was plenty to do!

I didn't get a picture of my grandparents together, but they had a wonderful day with all their kids and almost all the grandkids and great grandkids.

My mom and grandma.  (with Cameron) So cute!

My parents manned the snow cone booth all day!

Curtis and I were in charge of the bubble gum blowing contest!

Jace and the other kids ran around and had a thrilling day. I had a great time sitting next to my brother all day visiting at the gum booth. We all had fun reconnecting with cousins and aunts and uncles. The whole day was wonderful and everyone did an amazing job with whatever part they were assigned to help with. I am very blessed to come from such a great  and loving family!

A baby shower for Megan!

Megan is having her first baby in October. While she was here from Denver we threw her a baby shower!

Lots of family came and they got lots of nice things!

Megan, Colette, Dana and Maelee. All of us sisters worked together to make a great shower.

Everyone playing some shower games.

Megan and Kenny, so excited for their first little boy to come!

4th of July 2013

Look at my beautiful kids will ya?  I sure am grateful to have these four in my life all the time. They bring a lot of joy I must say.

We hit up the usual bbq at Jane's house. It is an awesome place to be and we are always treated like royalty!

It was so great to have Meg and Kenny here from Denver and my parents and Curtis and Colette from Idaho. It is fun to have so many people here.

Come on Dad's be glad to have your picture taken!!

That's better.

Cameron had a great time with all the corn on the cob and jello!

Sweet Jeanie weenie!

Aiden being the fun cousin that he is!

Such cute girls having fun together.

And here is my sweet, wonderful, courageous, brother Curtis. We are so glad he is here to Celebrate the 4th of July with our family. He was in a hunting accident in May and had to have his leg amputated above the knee. He almost died on the mountain, but we were blessed with his survival and he is getting better all the time. He has made such amazing progress in just over a month. He even has his temporary prosthetic leg already. I am so proud of how hard he is working and amazed at how he is handling all he has to deal with. He is just plain awesome.
