Teeter-Totter Incident

Right as everyone was getting done with the Kayaking fun, Jace cracked his head open! He fell off the teeter totter at the Liston's house. When he was trying to sit back up, the teeter totter swung back and hit him in the head.

If this sweet buy lives to be an adult, it will truly be a miracle. He seems to be a magnet for trouble. He was very brave and very tough. I was really proud of him. My dad went to the ER with us until Shane could get there. It was nice to have him there with us.

14 stitches later, he is doing pretty well. He was glad they were blue stitches. He cut his head deep enough that he cut the muscles in his forehead too. He couldn't move his eyebrow up and down. We had to follow up with a plastic surgeon to make sure the muscle got sown up well. Luckily, we got a good report from the plasctic surgeon. He should be just fine. Jace kept getting frustrated when we talked about making it so he wont have a scar someday. He thinks a scar will be cool. An eventful detour in our fun day. After the ER we went to Dana's house for hamburgers and smores. It was a day full of fun and adventure!
