Abbie had a biography report she had to do. We went to the library to get her book. While at the library, she informed me that she wouldn't do a report on "anyone old or anyone ugly or any boys." I told her that she would have a hard time with that, because if someone was famous they were probably old. And because they were old she would think their clothes and things were ugly. She said, "can't I do Taylor Swift or Adele?"
"No. There are no books about them," I replied trying not to laugh at her.
She proceeded to look through the biography isle pulling one book out at a time to look at the picture on the front. We were there for a while. . .
"Oooh, she looks like a barbie with dark hair! Is she famous enough?" The book was about Jackie Kennedy "Yep. She is famous enough."
Abbie was thrilled that she found someone pretty.
This was our attempt at having her dress like Jackie for her report at school. She especially liked her hair because it matched a picture in the book. We put on some pearls and Natalie's old dress that seemed close to some dresses in her book.
A happy girl heading off to school, looking great and ready to teach the third graders about Jackie!
