I am not lying!

Ok, I was sitting on the front porch watching kids and visiting with my neighbor when my home teacher drove up. I didn't know why he would come see us in the day, but he was looking for my neighbor because he had a present for her in a sour cream container! She was so excited. And what was inside? A tarantula! From his yard! I keep telling people that my neighbors have found tarantulas around here, but they always look at me like I am crazy. I am not lying people! Here is living proof. This hideous creature was crawling on his lawn. He thinks it was in the garden. Yuk! Yuk! Yuk!
Also for my family members who might think it is me holding this nasty thing-wrong! My neighbor just has the same shoes as me. She is the crazy one that wants it for a pet! Good luck with that!

Abbie's First Day of School!

Here is my cute Abbie on her first day of school. She has been bouncing off the walls for a week since the older girls started. She was so very excited to go to school. She is in Kindergarten in Mrs Epperson's class.
I was so proud of her when it was time for school to start a girl we know a little bit was crying because she was nervous and Abbie went right up to her, took her hand, and said "come on Macie, lets go get in line!" Her friend went with her and saved her mom from trying to figure out how to make that first day work. She also sat on the bus with her friend Kezia after school because she had been too scared to ride the bus until Abbie started. I love that she had so much confidence and that she is so friendly. It was a proud mom day for sure!
I can't believe I have 3 kids in school. Hopefully we can have a great year and all three will keep loving it!

The Cook Boys

I wanted to post this picture of my relatives. I just think it is really cool. These are our cousins on Shane's side of the family. This is a picture of our aunt Kathy's boys. Yea, there are a ton of them and the oldest barely turned 12. This picture isn't excluding the girls cousins. There are none! Since my aunt Kathy had her daughter Cheridan 34 years ago(sorry Cheridan), she had 5 boys. Then as they have all gotten married and had kids they have all had boys! Not a girl in sight. I know that there is even another boy or maybe two on the way I lose track. I think it is really crazy that they are on such a streak of boys in this family. I wonder how long it will continue? I wonder what kind of chaos ensues when they get together? I wonder how spoiled a little girl will be when she finally joins this family? They must do something right in raising all these boys because they have been blessed in abundance!!

First Day of School 2009!

This is Hallie excited for 4th grade and Nat ready to rule the school as a 6th grader! My girls are just too cute! After school having some warm cookies at the bus stop. I finished with only seconds to spare! There is something crazy with this layout for some reason. I have retried it several times, but now I am giving up!

The Mill Creek Goodbye

We went to Mill Creek for a family barbecue and farewell dinner for Megan and Kenny.

Here is my sweet dad with the oldest three grandkids Nat, Hallie, and Aiden.

Abbie and Jace in front of the Creek.

Abbie with a mouth full of roasted marshmallow!

Natalie and Hallie-cute as ever!

Jace with the stars of the party Megan and Kenny. We will miss you guys! Good luck on your adventure, and thanks for the reason to get together!

New Hair Cuts and Wedding Dresses!

We had a big family weekend. My sister Megan is moving to Colorado so her husband can go to graduate school, so the whole Jaussi clan got together for the weekend to say goodbye and send them on their new adventure.
My brother Curtis and his family stayed at our house, so Colette my talented sister in law got roped into giving us all haircuts for school! She does such an awesome job!

Here are Hallie and Natalie with their new do's.
We also took time on Saturday to go wedding dress shopping with our soon to be sis in law Shanntel. She is a cute little size zero, so every dress looked so good on her. She is going to have a hard time narrowing it down to "the one."
We went shopping with all the sisters my mom and Natalie. Strange to have a daughter that is old enough to go with the ladies!
My dad and the other boys took the kids to the Bean museum so we could have a great day.
This is a picture of the girls on center street in Provo as we were getting ready for lunch. Me, Dana, Megan, Shanntel, and Colette. Fun! Fun!

Lagoon 2.0-The water park edition!

We hit Lagoon for the second Wednesday in a row! This time we went to the water park.We had bounceback passes and figured that was cheaper to use than to pay full price at some other water park.

It was our last hurrah with our little family before school started.

I had fun in the kid land while Shane and the girls hit the fun slides. Then we switched off. We also spent a ton of time in the lazy river.

After we spent most of the day at the water park we got dressed and headed out to hit more rides. We didn't ride too many because the lines were way longer than last week so we didn't want to wait. After the fun of Lagoon we went to El Matador in Bountiful for dinner. We had a wonderful family day.

I especially love getting closer to the kids and enjoying thier humor and personalities. They are turning into fun people! I love it!
