Kids First Time in an Airplane!

Our kids are getting older so fast, and Natalie is going to be in junior high next year. Because of the elementary schools having a year round schedule here, we realized this is the last year that our kids will all have the same vacation times from school! How do we handle that realization? We head off to Disneyland!! We wrapped up an airplane and a Disney tin for Christmas that told them that our family present was a 5 day trip to Disneyland. They couldn't believe it and were so excited. None of our kids have ever been there. Natalie has been on a plane a few times, but she was a baby so this was the first time any of our kids have any memory of being on an airplane! They were so excited to fly and so were we. Shane didn't have much vacation time this year, so we didn't want to use most of it driving. This was definitely the way to go. Everyone enjoyed the whole trip, and there wasn't time for crying and whining!
My fun aunts Jean and Jane came on the whole trip with us. It was fun to see them everyday and I think they had fun seeing the kids' excitement. I hope we didn't wear them out, and that they recovered from having a kid hanging on them constantly. I think they probably felt pretty popular because the only fighting we had through the whole trip was over the aunties and who would sit by them when!

Since Jace didn't really know what Disneyland was all about before our trip he had a hard time deciding what he was more excited about. Disneyland or the airplane ride. I think he talked more about the plane in the days leading up to our vacation! We got up at 4:15 am to make it to our 6:30 flight, but once we were awake we had a great time!!

The plane ride alone looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to see more pictures of your adventure.

It looks like you guys have had a great few months. I haven't been checking blogs as regularly as I should but hopefully I will be soon! I hope all is well!
