A little update

I have no pictures for this, but oh well. This month has been very uneventful so far. I haven't had anything fun to do. I did have a great opportunity to go to the Temple with a bunch of my friends a week ago. We went with my friend Angie who lost her husband over the Christmas Holiday. It was so great to be able to be with her and show her our support. I was also quite overwhelmed to realize what wonderful friends I have and that they would do the same for me if I ever needed them. We had a great day sharing the strength of friendship. Friends are awesome and I am very blessed to have the friends I have.

Church was funny on Sunday. Jace ran up after church to give me a hug and he proudly said"I had time out!" Lovely! His new teachers must love him already. We went on to find out it was for hitting and have had some lovely discussions about it since. Wish us luck next week!

I really don't know what to do with my kids when they go off track for a month. Their winter break is the hardest. Hopefully I can think of something. I find this time of year quite boring! We are going to the car show tomorrow night. I am just excited to get out of the house! Yea.
Thrilling update I know, but like I said-not much is happening.

Couldn't stand it anymore!

This is a picture of my fun new laptop! I couldn't stand my 5 year old computer and all its problems anymore! I am so excited to be a part of high speed anything! What took me hours should now take no time at all. Hopefully that will help me to be a more consistent blogger. Also I am exited to learn new things that I didn't want to bother with before! Yea! I just wanted to share my joy.

Brace Face!

Could our Holiday be any busier? Natalie had a check up with the orthodontist yesterday and he decided she was ready to start her braces! She was so excited! She was hoping to go back to school looking different! Mission accomplished! She got pink rubber bands for her first color. She got a fun little pack of things to help her take care of her teeth. I think she looks older and it is sort of freaking me out. She can't grow up so much. I keep telling her I am going to cut off her legs so she can't grow anymore. She doesn't like that plan. I wonder why? I think she looks super cute!
There are a lot more posts about our holiday below. Proceed if you dare! I love to see how everyone celebrated Christmas. Come see how we did!

Sledding fun!

We went sledding at Cascade Elementary with my parents and Dana and her family. It was really fun and the kids had a great time! Grandpa even took the little kids down the hill. Jace would only go with him and that is it. He loves grandpa!

Hallie and Aiden went down together most of the time and had so much fun.
Natalie helped Abbie get used to it and after that Abbie was loving every minute of it.

Jace had more fun laying in the snow and sledding on his bum down the hill than using the sleds. Whatever works! We all had a great day!

Natalie's Birthday!

That's right folks! On Christmas we have even more to Celebrate at our house! It is our sweet Natalie's birthday. She turned 11 this year. That is so weird to me. After a great afternoon at Shane's mom's house we came back to our house for a birthday party! Megan and Kenny started dinner and my parent drove down form Idaho and Dana and her family came up so we could have a Christmas dinner and a birthday party! Thanks everyone for coming on that busy day! Natalie really wanted a motor scooter for Christmas and so I think she was really excited and surprised to see that we got her one for her birthday! She received many great gifts and cute clothes and had a great time.

She is getting to be such a grown up girl! She is a great helper and a great big sister! I love you Natalie!

Christmas Morning!

Here are our stockings all filled with goodies! Lots of candy, gloves, socks, pens, toothbrushes and other fun things. Yea Santa! Looks like Santa found us for sure! This was our tree Christmas morning!
Here are the kids coming down the stairs at 6:30 (after we sent them back to bed when they tried to get up at 5:30! No way! They even woke Jace up so we would have to get up. Sneaky kids!). This on the stairs photo was a tradition at the Toponce house when Shane was growing up!
Here is Jace's big present. A Handy Manny tool set and tool belt. He walked around with it all day. It was really cute.

Natalie's big gift was a pink digital camera. She has already taken a million pictures!

Abbie got a new scooter!
On Hallie's list this year she wanted a scavenger hunt from Santa. Natalie and Abbie have had them in the past and she wanted one big time. She was lucky and got what she wanted. She looked all over -in closets, under beds, following clues until she got to the upstairs bathroom and found a bike in the shower! She loves her new High School Musical bike!

Hallie was also excited because on her list this year was a Wii for the family. After the girls opened it she kept telling us we needed to thank her because we wouldn't have it if she didn't have it on her list! Thanks Santa and Hallie! We have already had a lot of fun with it. I have even beat Shane in a few games and I am quite proud!

More Christmas Eve!

Megan and Kenny were really great to play some kids games with us. We played "who is the Santa", and we tried to open a present that was wrapped a bunch of times to see who won the candy inside. I think the kids had a fun time. It looks like the tv is on but is it s holiday music channel. We can turn off the tv for Christmas eve!:)
Here are the kids in their Christmas Eve jammies! What cute cousins!
We also had a talent show for the kids. We went from youngest to oldest. We watched Jack walk.:)Jace sang "Jingle Bells". Eliza said a poem. Abbie sang "Christmas Cookies" and said a poem. Aiden recited "Twas the night before Christmas" and didn't need any help!, Hallie played the piano and Natalie sang a song too. It is fun to see their talents get better as they get older! A fun night was had by all!
